One of the most common stainless steel grades, 304 stainless steel is frequently used in various fields such as chemistry, petrochemistry, home appliances, industrial kitchens, automotive sub-industry, food industry and similar. This grade is the most commonly used stainless steel grade in the world and is preferred in many environments because it is quite reasonable in terms of price-performance.
04L quality stainless steel has almost identical properties to 304 quality stainless steel. The feature that distinguishes 304L quality stainless steel from 304 quality stainless steel is that it contains less carbon than 304 quality stainless steel. This feature provides easier welding and machinability compared to 304 quality stainless steel. For this reason, it is indicated with the symbol "L (Low Carbon)".
316 grade stainless steels are stainless steel products obtained by adding Molybdenum to the raw material and increasing the Nickel ratio compared to 304 grade stainless steels. Due to these features, 316 grade stainless steels have a very high resistance to corrosion. 316 grade stainless steels are the most widely used stainless steel products after 304 grade stainless steels. Based on these features, their areas of use are generally shipyards, acidic environments, the mining sector, the paint industry, steam boilers and similar areas.
316L grade stainless steels have lower carbon content than 316 grade stainless steels and are widely used stainless steel products. They are preferred due to their high level of corrosion resistance and high welding suitability. Although they have the same properties as 316 grade stainless steels, they are among the top stainless steels in areas where high corrosion resistance is required due to their low carbon content. They are an indispensable stainless steel product in maritime activities, mining sector, paint industry and chemical industry.
316Ti quality stainless steels are the version of 316 quality stainless steels with Titanium added. If the ambient temperature in the areas where stainless steels will be used is very high (500°C - 800°C) and the quality of the stainless steel to be used is desired to be especially 316 series, it is more appropriate to use 316Ti quality stainless steels. Thanks to the Titanium element it contains, it provides high heat resistance and also provides resistance to corrosion and chemicals. Due to these features, its areas of use are very wide. Pumps, steam boilers, oil and petrochemical industry are the most common areas of use.
309 grade stainless steels are mostly used in areas where temperature and humidity are high. It is preferred due to its resistance to oxidation up to 1100°C and friction resistance. Although it has high resistance to fresh and salt water, it would be more appropriate to use other stainless steel products because it has low resistance to acidic substances to which it will be exposed in the industrial field. Its resistance to nitrogen and sulfur gases is quite high. It is suitable for welding processes, but internal corrosion that will occur in the welding process should be taken into consideration when choosing stainless steel products.
The production purpose of 310 quality stainless steel material is to be able to continue working at high temperatures without losing efficiency and without deformation. It is a material that can withstand working conditions even if the working temperature increases up to 1100°C when suitable conditions are provided. In this way, the production and efficiency of steel material that has resistance to high temperatures depends on the ability to obtain a homogeneous distribution in the composition of the steel.
321 quality stainless steel is a stainless steel quality that is in the austenitic class and is generally preferred in places where the temperature is high. 321 quality stainless steel, which has a corrosion resistance above average in terms of structure, provides its users with an advantage in terms of heat with its resistance to high temperatures. On the other hand, the corrosion resistance and heat resistance it offers in return for its price are largely effective in the material's popularity. 321 quality stainless steel is like the sibling of a familiar component. Like 316 Ti, 321 quality stainless steel also contains titanium. In this context, it would not be wrong to say that this material is a version of 304 quality stainless steel that has been made more resistant to corrosion and temperature by adding titanium. It is a stainless steel product frequently used in food process lines, bolts, screws, and parts of transportation and carrying vehicles.
Duplex stainless steel is a stainless steel product that has a very high resistance to corrosion. It is a stainless steel product that can show more resistance to rust compared to 304 and 316 grade stainless steel groups. 1.4462 grade stainless steels are harder and more resistant to corrosion than ferretic stainless steels and are almost 50% more resistant to rupture than austenitic materials. This quality, which is frequently used in areas requiring strength, flexibility and durability, is used in pump shafts, boat shafts, propeller manufacturing, special hydroelectric power plants, food sector, chemical sector and machine production.
SUPER DUPLEX (1,4410)
Super Duplex stainless steels are the most widely used and most corrosion resistant stainless steel quality among duplex stainless steels. For this reason, it is the most demanded stainless steel product in gas production facilities, oil industry and petrochemical sectors where corrosion resistance is high.
